Knowledge in Action: Explorations in Data Science and Computer Vision

In this section, you will find a compilation of articles, research studies, and analyses on the most relevant advances in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. From innovations in deep learning models to studies on the impact of transformers in Computer Vision, this space gathers key knowledge for professionals and AI enthusiasts.
In addition to sharing personal insights and discoveries, you will also find links to scientific publications, industry trends, and presentations at conferences and lectures. The goal is to create a reference point where knowledge is not only documented but also drives new ideas and applications in the world of Data Science.

My professional experience has been defined by the application of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision across various industries, focusing on process optimization, strategic data analysis, and the development of innovative solutions.
At MAPFRE Spain, I have taken on multiple roles within the field of Data Science and Computer Vision. Currently, as a Computer Vision Engineer & Senior Data Scientist in Business Intelligence, I lead the development of API-driven solutions for Digital Verification of Vehicles and Businesses, applying image processing, Deep Learning, and data-driven strategies. My work involves Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure), CI/CD, and agile management tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence, ensuring efficiency and scalability in every project.
Previously at MAPFRE, I worked as a Data Scientist in Compensation (Human Resources), where I designed Machine Learning models to optimize the employee onboarding process. Additionally, I conducted advanced statistical analyses to evaluate salary structures, enhancing strategic decision-making within the organization.
In parallel, I have worked as an AI & Computer Vision Engineer at Data Value Management, focusing on image processing for facial aesthetics analysis, including ultraviolet imaging. I also implemented OCR systems and web scraping for the identification and classification of cosmetic products, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Furthermore, I developed anomaly detection algorithms for industrial processes, enhancing inspection and automation in production environments.
My expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) at Data Value Management has also been significant, developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems based on Large Language Models (LLMs), optimizing information retrieval using embeddings and textual similarity calculations.
Throughout my career, I have combined the development of AI models with a strategic vision, ensuring accurate, scalable solutions aligned with ethical and regulatory principles. My goal is to continue driving innovation in Data Science, Computer Vision, and AI, creating tools that transform how we interact with data and visual information.
